Morgan is a typical restaurant located in the Sassi of Matera, specialising in traditional Lucanian and seafood cuisine.
The restaurant-pizzeria is situated in the Sassi of Matera, one of the most picturesque locations in all of Italy and likely the world, so much so that it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We have seating both indoors and outdoors, allowing us to operate throughout all seasons of the year.
All products used in our kitchens come directly from the best cultivations located in the Basilicata region.

The experience gained by our chefs, the desire to let you taste unique recipes from the Lucanian land, and the constant updating of our menu are the main strengths of Morgan restaurant.
The extensive choice of traditional first courses, for example, dragged in caciocavallo fondue and Senise cruschi peppers, shavings of burned wheat in fava bean cream and cardoncelli mushrooms, orecchiette and ricotta calzones with slow-cooked meat sauce, all without neglecting the space for contemporary fish dishes.
Even the dishes related to the main courses offer a considerable variety of meat and fish, mostly cooked using the low-temperature vacuum technique, especially for the meat: pork cheek in Aglianico wine, lamb chops, grilled octopus, and anglerfish, where you can savour only top-quality products.
